How an exhibition comes to life

When an exhibition is born, it is a beautiful process. It does not happen overnight, it begins with a single thought. With enthusiasm for a clear intention, I devote a great deal of time and energy to shaping the whole concept, so it carries an idea, a deeper context, and perhaps even a QUITE MESSAGE TO PAUSE AND REFLECT.

Hand in hand with this comes the search for a space, a place where the photographs can truly breathe, and where people naturally pass through. A living place, where for a moment I can leave MY OWN IMPRINT.

Choosing the photographs is the most difficult part, even if it may not seem so. It requires a wide body of work to choose from, and then the courage to select only a limited number, (around twenty large-format pieces),that will speak TOGETHER AS ONE.

Printing flows smoothly, as I work with a company I trust deeply and whose quality has always met my expectations. The installation itself is a shared effort. The final result must feel whole, as if the PHOTOGRAPHS simply BELONG TO THE SPACE, as if they have always been there.

It is beautiful work, DEEPLY ENRICHING. With every exhibition, I gain new experience and fresh insight.

Even now, I am looking forward to the next one. The concept is already taking shape, and STEP BY STEP, the whole IS COMING TO LIFE.
